He shared a glass of wine or two with me, and gave me thoughts on life after leaving my last job. More important, he has a wonderful family. It's hard seeing his 3 young daughters at the funeral, each dealing with grief.
Live each day to the fullest. Make sure you get the most out of what you do, and spend time with people you care about.
Rest in peace, Leo.

"On July 4, 2008 Leonardus Leo Josephus Pot, loving father and doting husband, left his earthly existence peacefully, at home, in the company of his family. Born in the fall of 1956 in Oegstgeest, The Netherlands to Martin and Joanne Pot, he would go on to complete a Bachelor's degree in Business at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands. He would receive his Masters degree also in Business at Temple University in Philadelphia. As his career progressed, he would eventually start his own marketing and public relations firm, Techwire International, where he would put his fluency in five languages to good use. An avid reader, voracious traveler, capable pilot, epicurean, and wine connoisseur, his loves would lead him to travel the world over. As a host, he was as unrivaled as his wine collection. His sense of humor was appreciated by everyone, even those who were at times a victim of it. He will be greatly missed. Leo is survived by his wife, Trenise Pot, his three daughters, Alicia, Stephanie, and Dominique, his parents Martin and Joanne Pot, and his four sisters, Marianne Van Dijk, Brigitte Wolin, Carolina Pot, and Sonja Meeuwsen," | ||

A year too late it seems.
It is nice to know Leo enjoyed a rewarding life, professionally and personally.
I met Leo long ago while on vacation in 1984. We shared a flight back to the states and visited the whole way to Chicago. You can learn alot about someone in 7 hours. We were part of an interesting eclectic group of travelers gathered at the back in the smoking section. Remember those days ?
Goodbye Leo, I never sent that Christmas card.... I wish I would have...
